run out of与run out的区别是什么呢？

区别：

1、两个词组作用光、用尽 之意时，从词性来说由于多了一个of，run out of变成了相当于及物动词，而run out 是相当于不及物动词 。最重要的不是他们的主语,而是他们后面的成分. run out of 可以有宾语,　但是是介词宾语,　所以没有被动语态.　
例如：

The water had run out.水已经被用掉了。

Tom has run out of the water.汤姆用完了水。

2、意思不完全相同

run out：
1.跑出去；匆匆离开：sb run out to do sth
